This energetic leader will inspire young athletes, foster teamwork, and develop their skills both on and off the court. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of sports coaching expertise, teaching ability, and a genuine commitment to student growth. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of basketball players while promoting a positive, inclusive athletic environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging practice plans that improve individual skills and team strategies in basketball Lead team practices, games, and tournaments with enthusiasm, ensuring a fun and competitive atmosphere Foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership among student-athletes through effective coaching and mentorship Monitor player behavior, enforce rules, and manage discipline to maintain a respectful environment Collaborate with school staff on athlete development, injury prevention, and safety protocols Promote health and wellness by integrating physical education principles into training sessions Support student-athletes' overall growth by encouraging participation in related activities such as cheerleading or martial arts when appropriate Experience Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably with youth or school teams in basketball or similar sports such as cheerleading or climbing Background in teaching physical education or working with students in educational settings Certifications are a must, demonstrating safety awareness and emergency response skills Familiarity with behavior management techniques to motivate students and address challenges effectively Experience working in health clubs or gyms is advantageous for understanding fitness fundamentals Demonstrated ability to lead by example, inspire young athletes, and foster a positive team culture Join us as our JV Head Basketball Coach and make a meaningful impact on students' athletic journeys!
