Join Us as a Skills Instructor As a Skills Instructor, you'll work directly with adults with developmental disabilities, helping them cultivate essential skills for successful employment, meaningful volunteer work, pursuing post-secondary education, and active community participation in various settings to achieve greater independence. What You'll Do Provide person-centered instruction through planned community activities. Support individuals in accessing community resources, planning engaging activities, and strengthening their skill sets. Take individuals on community outings—whether for appointments, errands, or just to enjoy the day. Track and document progress, capturing accurate and concise case notes. Redirect inappropriate behaviors and facilitate positive resolutions to challenges. Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support. What You Bring Bilingual in English and Mandarin/Cantonese (required) . A caring heart and a commitment to helping others live with dignity and independence. Reliable transportation to and from work. A valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insurance. Willingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background check. CPR Certification and a recent TB test (we can help you obtain both if needed). Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus—but if you bring passion and dedication, we'll provide the training.
