Valley-Wide Elite Athletics is dedicated to providing high-quality recreational programs that promote physical fitness, confidence, and teamwork. We offer gymnastics, dance, cheerleading classes for a wide range of ages, from young children to teens, in a supportive and enthusiastic environment.Overview:
We are seeking a passionate gymnastics coach (minimal experience in gymnastics is recommended) to join our after school and recreational program team. As a gymnastics coach, you will be responsible for instructing and guiding pre-school- school-aged children in various recreational/physical educational gymnastics techniques and skills.
Responsibilities:
Plan and Execute Gymnastics Sessions:
Design and implement age-appropriate gymnastics lessons and activities that cater to the skill levels and interests of school-aged children.Teach Gymnastics Skills:
Instruct students on fundamental recreation gymnastics.Demonstrate Skills:
Model proper technique and form for gymnastics maneuvers, ensuring safety and correct execution.Provide Individualized Instruction:
Assess each child's abilities and progress, offering personalized feedback and guidance to help them improve.Promote Physical Fitness:
Encourage physical fitness and healthy habits through gymnastics training, emphasizing the importance of flexibility, strength, and coordination.Ensure Safety:
Maintain a safe and secure environment by adhering to safety guidelines and protocols during all gymnastics activities.Manage Equipment:
Organize and maintain gymnastics equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and properly used and stored.When coaching at school sites:
some gymnastics equipment will need to be unloaded from the company or personal vehicle, properly set up, and at the end of shift properly remove equipment and store back in the vehicle. Communicate withParents and Staff:
If applies Keep parents informed of their child's progress and behavior in the program if assigned to a recreational center. Collaborate with school staff and administration as needed.Valid Driver's License:
Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to safely operate a company or personal vehicle in compliance with local and state regulations. Driving record will be validated upon hire and randomly validated.Background Live Scan:

Must be completed within the first 10 days of hire. Valid CPR Certificate will be accepted.Notation:
After school program takes place at various different school sites in Murrieta and Lake Elsinore. The company vehicle may not be available on specific days and it will be the coaches responsibility to obtain the mobile gymnastics equipment and transport it in a personal vehicle. Recreational programs take place at various different community centers. The coach will be responsible for scheduled shifts. No company vehicle will be available at recreational centers.Qualifications:
- Experience working with pre-school and school aged children preferred
- Background in physical education or sports coaching is preferred but no required
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with children of various ages
- Passion for promoting physical fitness and education among students
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience in competitive sports, gymnastics training, tumbling skills, cheerleading
- Previous work in childcare or educational programs
Training Requirements When Hired:
Background checks- Live Scan and USA Gymnastics complete within the first 10 days of Hire USA Gymnastics Coach membership, CPR Training and Fundamental Learning Modules
- Complete within the first 10 days of hire FlagHouse Training Modules 1-4, successful completion of review tests, driving test, and proper equipment safety
- within the first 21 days of hire Successful completion of onsite shadow training
- within 28 days of hire Successful completion of onsite training and peer evaluation
- 35 days of hire Assigned gymnastics learning modules
- must be completed within the first 1 year of hire date If assigned training and necessary requirements are not completed within the listed timeframe this could lead to immediate termination.
