Job Description

Recreational Gymnastics Assistant Coach Position Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Recreational Gymnastics Assistant Coach to work with children ages 1-12 years in our recreational gymnastics program. Our classes range from Level 1 through Level 4. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, maintains a positive attitude, and is eager to learn. Previous gymnastics coaching experience is preferred, but we provide training for the right candidate. Schedule
  • Must be available to work 2-3 days per week, including Saturdays.
  • Must be punctual, prepared to work, and committed to consistently showing up on assigned days.
  • Part-time position with afternoon and weekend hours (4 hours a day). Responsibilities
  • Assist with coaching recreational gymnastics classes for children ages 1-12 years old.
  • Teach and reinforce basic gymnastics skills and progressions for Levels 1-4.
  • Help create a safe, fun, and positive learning environment.
  • Interact with athletes in a professional, encouraging, and age-appropriate manner.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and patience while working with young children.
  • Assist with setting up and organizing equipment before and after classes.
  • Follow all gym safety rules and coaching guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Coach and other staff members.
  • Continue learning and implementing coaching techniques provided during training.
  • Ability to work independently in some days or some classes. Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with children.
  • Knowledge of basic gymnastics skills is preferred.
  • Ability to learn quickly; training will be provided during the first one to two weeks.
  • Must be a fast learner and willing to accept feedback.
  • Passion for working with children and helping them develop confidence and physical skills.
  • Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to communicate positively and respectfully with athletes and staff.
  • Must be physically capable of demonstrating basic skills and assisting young athletes safely. Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in gymnastics, dance, cheer, martial arts, or youth sports.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
