Assistant Club Volleyball Coach Legacy One Volleyball Club E Palo Alto, CA Job Details Part-time | Contract $20 - $25 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Process improvement standards implementation Sports coaching Team development Mentoring Team motivation (leadership skill) Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Club Volleyball Coach for a part-time contract position based in East Palo Alto, CA. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in developing and executing practice plans, providing guidance and mentorship to players, and fostering a positive team environment. Responsibilities include assisting with training sessions, teaching volleyball techniques and strategies, coordinating with team members, and encouraging an atmosphere of teamwork and respect. The role will also involve collaboration with fellow staff to ensure the success of the volleyball program. Responsibilities Assist head coaches in planning and executing engaging practice sessions focused on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship Support the implementation of game strategies and provide on-court guidance during matches Foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages positive behavior and respect among players Help monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement Support team organization by managing equipment, tracking attendance, and communicating with parents or guardians as needed Promote good sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork both during practices and competitions Requirements Strong Volleyball knowledge and experience, including playing and/or coaching at a competitive level A highly competitive mindset and willingness to develop elite standards for development. Willingness to learn and support the Legacy One training techniques and philosophy Proficiency in Coaching and Training for skill development and team strategies Excellent Communication skills to effectively mentor and motivate players Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team culture Capability to travel to Northern California and national tournaments Capability to be at afternoon, evening and weekend practices Learn more about the club at www.legacyonevolleyballclub.com
