This position will also handle NAIA eligibility and compliance for the athletic department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in sports management, physical education, athletic coaching, recreation or another related field required Preferred experience working in a collegiate athletic program. Ability to serve as a strong Christian role model/mentor for student athletes and actively contribute to the spiritual development of athletes. Must possess strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal, in the performance of job duties Ability to complete tasks that have set deadlines. Understanding how to develop a competitive sports program with knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations. Ability to work well in a team environment. Must have and maintain valid California driver's license and be able and willing to travel Must have and maintain certification of First Aid and CPR General proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, etc.) Self-starter, highly motivated and well-organized

Essential Functions:
Effectively assist with all aspects of a collegiate track program including practice, competitions, travel planning and organization. Provide accountability and discipline for student-athletes spiritually, socially, academically, and athletically. Recruit and retain quality student-athletes who can succeed academically and are an institutional fit. Participate in all team activities. Travel to all away games and necessary recruiting trips. Effectively use social media to promote the track program. Have awareness, accountability, and educate student-athletes on the proper use of social media. Work directly with teams to certify NAIA eligibility in accordance with all rules and policies. Assist student-athletes with eligibility questions and provide clear guidance throughout the process. Communicate athletic conferences and NAIA to certify athletic teams and resolve any compliance related issues.
