Assistant Softball Coach 2 University of California, Riverside - 4.3 Riverside, CA Job Details Full-time $48,800 - $81,000 a year 10 hours ago Qualifications NCAA standards Writing skills Sports team experience NCAA rules Full Job Description Under the direction of the Head Coach, the Assistant Softball Coach 2 is responsible for assisting with all aspects of an NCAA Division I Women's Softball program including, but not limited to, on field duties of hitting, infield or outfield; the identification and recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; supporting the academic progress of student-athletes; preparing and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition; fostering the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes; organizing team and staff travel arrangements; coordinating and administering special softball events; and representing the sports program as needed in association with promoting and fundraising for the program. The full salary range for the Assistant Softball Coach 2 is $48,800.00 - $81,000.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements degree Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training with a college-level program. Required experience 2 - 4 years of related experience. Required Shift Work (hours outside standard Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM work hours) required Required Specialized knowledge of the team sport or activity, as well as basic technical expertise in coaching principles. Demonstrated effective problem solving and communication skills, verbally and in writing. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with athletic participants. Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making; be an effective problem solver and effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as well as other associations and agencies to which the campus adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with athletic participants. Required
