About the Role Swim Instructors teach lessons to students of all ages and abilities, following the British Swim School curriculum to build water survival skills, propulsion, and stroke development — all in a fun, gentle, and encouraging environment. Employee discounts and a flexible part-time schedule that works around your life Responsibilities Deliver engaging private and semi-private swim lessons following British Swim School teaching methods, safety protocols, and emergency procedures Demonstrate your "show-time" abilities during lessons

Have knowledge of both the British Swim School program and the additional needs of neurodivergent students Arrive poolside in uniform at least 15 minutes before your first lesson Attend staff meetings and ongoing training sessions as requested Connect with parents and other caregivers regarding student progress and needs Communicate regularly with the Aquatics Managers and Director Work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays Stand in the water for up to 5 consecutive hours; move kids around and physically assist students in and out of the pool as needed What We're Looking For Background as a paraprofessional, behavioral technician, occupational therapist, etc. required Enthusiastic, patient, and people-oriented personality Strong communication skills with children, parents, and teammates Ability to follow structured schedules, safety procedures, and teaching methods Ability to physically manage children of all ages and sizes in the pool and help them around and in and out of the water (All pools have shallow water) Lifeguard, CPR, or First Aid certification is a plus — but not required; we support obtaining it after hire Reliable transportation to reach training facilities and assigned pool locations Training & Schedule All instructors complete approximately 40 hours of paid training (online and in-water) at one of our locations typically including our Rancho Peñasquitos pool. Once certified, ongoing coaching and additional training opportunities keep you sharp and growing. After training, you'll be set up with a consistent weekly schedule based on your availability and location needs.

PM Saturday-Sunday:
9:00 AM-1:30/2:30 PM Please note: Pool availability varies by location and day. We do not offer half-shifts, so full availability within one or more of these windows is required.
