This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development among high school students. As a key member of our athletic program, you will lead practices, coordinate matches, and promote a positive environment that encourages growth, confidence, and a love for tennis. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help shape well-rounded student-athletes while ensuring a safe, engaging, and motivating experience for all participants. Responsibilities Plan and execute engaging practices that improve technical skills, strategy, and physical conditioning for junior varsity girls' tennis players Lead team during matches, providing guidance, encouragement, and tactical support to maximize performance Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect among players Monitor student-athletes' behavior on and off the court to promote good conduct and adherence to school policies Collaborate with school staff to coordinate schedules, transportation, and event logistics for matches and tournaments Implement safety protocols during practices and matches, including basic first aid if necessary Support student development through mentorship in areas such as discipline, goal setting, and leadership Qualifications Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education is highly desirable Knowledge of tennis fundamentals is a plus Strong behavior management skills to motivate students while maintaining discipline Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff in a lively and motivational manner Join us in creating an inspiring environment where young athletes can thrive!
