Youth Tennis Coach Your Court Tennis San Diego, CA Job Details Contract $45 - $55 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Parent communication Working with children Performing background checks Camp Full Job Description Part-Time Youth Tennis Coach - After-School Program, San Diego Your Court Tennis runs after-school tennis enrichment for kids across San Diego. We're looking for a coach who genuinely loves working with young people and can make tennis the best part of a kid's afternoon. The role You'll lead after-school group tennis classes for youth players, focused on fundamentals, fun, and keeping kids active, confident, and engaged. Just as important as the tennis: you'll be a positive, trusted presence for the kids and a clear, friendly point of contact for their parents - sharing how classes are going, answering questions at pickup, and helping families feel good about the program. Availability We're looking for someone generally available weekday afternoons (after-school hours). Classes run in 12-week sessions, three sessions a year. What we're looking for A real gift for working with kids - patient, upbeat, encouraging, and able to keep a group of young players engaged and safe. This is the most important thing we're hiring for. Comfortable and professional communicating with parents - warm, responsive, and reassuring Solid tennis background: competitive playing experience and/or coaching experience Reliable, with availability across weekday afternoons and able to commit to a full 12-week session Dependable transportation to San Diego court locations Willing to complete a background check and Live Scan fingerprinting (required for working with youth) Nice to have Prior experience coaching kids or working in youth programs (camps, schools, clinics) USPTA or PTR certification Please note: this is a 1099 independent contractor role, not an employee position.
