The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coaching and working with students of various ages. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage behavior effectively, organization skills and a commitment to fostering a positive and safe environment for all participants. Duties Plan, organize, and conduct basketball practices and games for students. Teach fundamental basketball skills, strategies, and sportsmanship. Develop practice plans that enhance players' skills while promoting teamwork. Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement. Foster a safe and positive environment for all participants during practices and games. Collaborate with other coaches and staff to create an engaging sports program. Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain discipline during practices and games. Organize team events, including tournaments and fundraising activities. Requirements Previous experience in sports coaching, particularly basketball. Skills in behavior management to effectively guide student-athletes. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff. A passion for sports and youth development.
