Length of Work Year 2026-2027 WINTER Employment Type Part Time Job Summary Job Summary A high school varsity basketball head coach is responsible for leading and developing the school's top basketball team by teaching fundamental skills, advanced strategies, and strong sportsmanship. They oversee practices, game preparation, and player development while fostering teamwork, discipline, and academic accountability. The coach also serves as a mentor and role model, guiding student-athletes to grow both on the court and as individuals.

Requirements / Qualifications

Prior basketball coaching experience at the high school level or higher is preferred, though qualified candidates with comparable experience are encouraged to apply.

• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching & the CA State Component
• Concussion Certificate
• Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate
• Valid CPR Certificate
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Heat Acclimatization Certificate
• TB test
• Guidelines for the Workplace & Youth Sports Protocol & Recommendations (link will be provided)
• Mandated Reporter (Child Abuse Certificate)
