This pivotal role involves developing strategic game plans, fostering team cohesion, and nurturing athletes' growth both on and off the field. The ideal candidate will bring a dynamic coaching style, a commitment to excellence, and a love for empowering women through sport. You will be responsible for creating a positive, competitive environment that promotes skill development, sportsmanship, and personal achievement. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive training sessions tailored to enhance players' technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical conditioning Develop game strategies and make real-time decisions during matches to maximize team performance Set expectations and maintain accountability among players Foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among athletes Provide plays, strategies and skill development to elevate team performance Serve as a leadership figure and maintain a positive, professional team culture Promote a safe environment by enforcing health protocols, injury prevention measures, and behavior management policies Coordinate with assistant coaches, other teams, and trainers to ensure athlete well-being and optimal performance Travel with the team to away games and tournaments Time Commitment 3 practices per week
Tuesday:
6-7:45 p.m.
Wednesday:
4:15-6 p.m.
Friday:
4:15-6 p.m. Games (1-2) on weekend either home or away Up to 4 tournaments Sept. 24-27th: CU Invitational (home) Oct. 9-11th: UCSB tournament (away) Oct 29-Nov. 2: Regionals (away) Nov. 18-22nd: Nationals (away) Benefits All flights, hotels, and vans are paid for Qualifications Coaching at the high school level required, coaching at the collegiate level preferred Knowledge of skills for individual positions Background in sports coaching with knowledge of soccer techniques, tactics, and training methodologies Experience working with students or young athletes in educational or recreational settings Possible demonstrations of skills Occasional physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, or push heavy objects
