Part-Time Assistant Cheer Coach Holy Family High School Inc - 4.4 Broomfield, CO Job Details Part-time 21 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Behavioral standards enforcement in schools Student mentoring Sports coaching First aid Working with high schoolers First Aid Certification Conflict management School policy and procedure enforcement Leadership Cheerleading Communication skills Safety protocol implementation Entry level Full Job Description Holy Family High School is seeking a part-time Assistant Cheer Coach supporting the Head Coach in developing, instructing, and mentoring student-athletes in a safe, positive, and organized environment. The assistant coach helps promote skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and school pride while upholding the values and expectations of the athletic program. The assistant coach must have a strong commitment to their faith and have a desire to coach from a faith perspective.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Coach with planning and leading practices, workouts, games, and competitions. Teach sport-specific skills, drills, techniques, and strategies appropriate to the team's level. Help supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices, games, competitions, and team events. Support the Head Coach in maintaining team standards, structure, and accountability. Promote a positive team culture built on respect, effort, and sportsmanship. Communicate clearly and professionally with athletes, parents, coaches, and school staff as directed by the Head Coach. Assist with athlete safety, including spotting, monitoring proper technique, and following all safety protocols. Help with equipment, uniforms, attendance, travel, and other program needs as assigned. Model professionalism, integrity, responsibility, and positive behavior at all times. Reinforce school policies, athletic department expectations, and team rules. Support the Head Coach in managing conflicts, discipline, and team concerns appropriately. Attend required meetings, practices, competitions, and school events. Serve as a positive role model and contribute to the overall success of the program.Qualifications:
Prior experience coaching, competing, or participating in cheer preferred. Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and athletic staff. Knowledge of high school cheer rules, skills, and safety practices. Ability to relate well to student-athletes and support their growth. CPR/First Aid and other certification required. Must pass required background checks and meet school hiring requirements.Professional Expectations:
Support the vision and direction of the Head Coach. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations. Demonstrate consistency, maturity, and respect in interactions with students, parents, and staff. Help create an encouraging environment where athletes can grow in confidence and character. Uphold the mission, values, and policies of the school and athletic program.Working Conditions:
Seasonal position with practices, games, competitions, and events often held outside the regular school day. Ability to for evening, weekend, and travel commitments. Physical activity required, including spotting, demonstrating skills, and supervising athletesApplication Instructions:
