- Design and lead engaging and challenging practices that promote physical endurance, mental toughness, and emotional well-being.

- Promote sportsmanship and healthy competition, ensuring every athlete understands the value of effort, discipline, and teamwork.
- Inspire athletes to pursue excellence through goal setting, accountability, and reflective practice.

- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, and school staff.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members during practices and games.

Required Qualifications Education:
- High School Diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred Preferred skills and work experience:
- Previous coaching or competitive volleyball experience
- A deep understanding of adolescent development and a commitment to student growth
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A positive attitude, high energy, and a passion for developing student-athletes Physical demands: The physical demands of this volleyball coaching position require the ability to move actively around the gym for extended periods during practices and games, including frequent standing, walking, and occasional bending, squatting, and reaching to demonstrate drills and correct technique.
Coaches must be able to lift and carry equipment such as volleyballs, ball carts, and nets (typically up to 25-40 lbs) and have sufficient hand-eye coordination to assist in drills or demonstrations. Clear and audible verbal communication is essential in a noisy gym environment, and strong visual acuity is required to observe players, assess technique, and make real-time decisions. While the role is primarily indoors, travel to away games is required.
Schedule Details Job Classifications:
Exempt, Seasonal (Mid-August through Mid-October) Part-time hours, with practices and games typically held outside of school hours.
