Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Varsity Girl's Volleyball Coach to join our Christ-centered athletic department. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire our student-athletes through the Vision, Mission, and Values of our Athletic Department.

Values (Heart of a Lion): Christ-centered, Character, Community, Competence, Compete The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, leadership, and a passion for coaching to help our student-athletes reach their full potential both on and off the court. Duties Assist the head coach in planning and executing practices, drills, and game strategies for the varsity girl's volleyball team Support athlete development by providing technical instruction, feedback, and encouragement during training sessions and competitions Promote a positive team environment through effective behavior management and team-building activities Monitor athlete safety during practices and games, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and injury prevention measures Coordinate with school staff, parents, and athletic trainers regarding team schedules, player progress, and event logistics Assist in scouting opponents, analyzing game footage, and preparing game plans to enhance team performance Foster leadership qualities among players by encouraging sportsmanship, discipline, resilience, and a Christ-like example. Qualifications Prior experience in sports coaching, particularly volleyball Knowledge of physical education principles and techniques for teaching sports skills effectively Experience with behavior management strategies to motivate athletes and maintain discipline on the court Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, staff, and fellow coaches Passion for development through sports combined with a proactive approach to coaching excellence How to
