LCHS is Northern Colorado's clearest path to college delivering a college-preparatory, classically-oriented, liberal-arts curriculum in a small-school environment. The school currently enrolls approximately 1600 students in grades K-12, and competes at the 3A level in CHSAA as a member of the Patriot League. The Track and Field coach reports directly to the athletic director and has the primary responsibility for planning, training, and coordination for high-school student-athletes, in cooperation with the coaching staff. May 2026 Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma; associates degree or greater is preferred. Experience working with K-12 students preferred. Job Duties:
Working with student-athletes to develop skills, knowledge, and virtues in Track & Field. Communicating with parents, officials, athletes, and coaches. Working with coaching staff to implement training and game plans. Job Requirements:
Technically knowledgeable of Track & Field and experience working with student-athletes. Experience scheduling, planning, and coordinating activities for a wide range of constituents. A proven, verifiable record of placing appropriate emphasis on academic excellence, good sportsmanship, and character development. A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, coaches, and administration. Full background check required for hire. CPR and first aid certified or able to obtain upon hire. Physical Requirements:
The ability to move safely in athletic workspaces; The ability to lift 30 pounds or more when needed. Compensation:
Starting at $4,300.00 (possibly higher based on background, experience, and/or institutional alignment). Enrollment in Colorado's Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) and employer contributions to your PERA retirement account.
