Responsibilities Plan and execute comprehensive training sessions focused on basketball skills, strategy, and fitness tailored to the team's needs. Lead team practices, games, and tournaments with enthusiasm and professionalism, ensuring a positive competitive experience. Develop individualized coaching plans that promote athlete development in areas such as shooting, defense, teamwork, and game tactics. Foster a supportive team culture that encourages sportsmanship, discipline, and respect among players. Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games, coordinating travel arrangements, and overseeing equipment maintenance. Monitor player progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance. Promote safety protocols during all activities and ensure adherence to university policies and BEAR Code of Conduct guidelines. Skills Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly basketball or related team sports. Strong background in teaching physical education or working with students in athletic settings. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to motivate athletes and maintain discipline. Familiarity with health club or gym environments to support fitness training programs.
