Mancos School District, nestled in southwest Colorado's Four Corners region between Durango and Cortez, is a small, diverse rural district serving approximately 500 PK-12 students. We operate on a four-day school week with bi-monthly professional learning Fridays, emphasizing community, innovation, and balance. The High School Head Coach represents the school and its athletic program in all aspects of team leadership and development. This position is responsible for planning and implementing effective practice sessions, mentoring and supporting student-athletes, and assisting with game-day preparation and management. The coach fosters a positive, competitive, and inclusive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, academic success, and personal growth. Through strong leadership and collaboration, the coach promotes both athletic excellence and the overall development of student-athletes.
