Description The Academy is currently hiring a High School Instructional Coach/Teaching Load for the 2026-2027 school year. SUMMARY:
Employee shall perform the duties and responsibilities proficiently, professionally, and in a collaborative manner consistent with the standards of care and quality that accompany the highest norms of the profession. In addition, the employee will actively support, promote, and help lead school-wide initiatives, contributing to a positive and unified school culture while consistently acting in the best interests of the school community as a whole.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Model for, co-teach with, and coach teachers and classroom aides for implementation of exemplary, effective instructional practices. 2. Provide teacher support and resources for instruction and management. 3. Carry a teaching load of 25- 50% of the instructional day (or as assigned by administration), including planning, delivering, and assessing standards-based instruction.
EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or higher. 3 or more years of classroom experience LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS orCERTIFICATIONS
Criminal background check required for hire. Must possess, or be able to obtain from, or be in process with, the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) for a valid Colorado Educator License within 30 days of hire. Must possess the required license and endorsement. If highly qualified by content test or semester hours, with no endorsement: applicant must possess a Colorado educator license with a passing score on a CDE approved content test or 36 semester hours in specific core content classes as determined by Human Resources. Preference may be given to candidates with ELL Training and/or an ESL or (LDE) Linguistically Diverse Education Endorsement.TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job. Personal computer and keyboarding skills. Strong customer service and public relations skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Authorizer policies and building and department procedures Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE
Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals. Operating knowledge of information technology systems and any other department specific software and equipment required within one month after entering position.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS & DIRECTION/GUIDANCE
