Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Head Varsity High School Football Coach to lead the CREC Colts co-op football program with enthusiasm and strategic insight. This pivotal role involves developing student-athletes both on and off the field, fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for coaching, a strong background in sports and physical education, and the ability to inspire young athletes to achieve their best. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our student-athletes while promoting a positive school culture centered around athletic excellence and personal growth. Responsibilities Lead all aspects of the varsity football team, including planning practices, developing game strategies, and overseeing team conditioning. Foster a positive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal development. Mentor student-athletes in skill development, behavior management, and academic responsibilities to ensure well-rounded growth. Coordinate with school administration, athletic trainers, and other coaches to ensure safety protocols and compliance with regulations. Organize team meetings, scouting reports, and game-day preparations to maximize team performance. Promote school spirit by encouraging student participation in related activities such as cheerleading and community events. Maintain accurate records of player attendance, performance metrics, and disciplinary actions while ensuring adherence to school policies. Qualifications Proven experience in sports coaching with a focus on football or similar team sports. Strong background in physical education or teaching physical activity; experience in teaching or childcare is a plus. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to motivate students and maintain discipline. Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds in school or health club settings. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members.
