Family Christian Center School (FCCS), Clermont, Florida Join the Founding Staff of FCCS Baseball Family Christian Center School (FCCS) is seeking two dedicated Assistant Baseball Coaches to help launch and build our brand-new Varsity Baseball Program. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a program from its very beginning. We are looking for coaches who are passionate about developing student-athletes, teaching the game of baseball, and helping establish a strong foundation and culture for FCCS Baseball. The Assistant Coaches will work alongside the Head Baseball Coach to help create a competitive, Christ-centered program that emphasizes character, leadership, discipline, and athletic excellence. This is a stipend position. Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and coaching background. Position Summary Assistant Baseball Coaches will assist in all aspects of the varsity baseball program, including player development, practice organization, game preparation, team supervision, and program growth. Successful candidates must be team-oriented leaders who are willing to help build a new program from the ground up. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Coaching Responsibilities Assist with planning and conducting practices. Teach baseball fundamentals, including hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching, catching, and baserunning. Assist with player skill development and evaluations. Help prepare athletes for competition. Support game-day coaching operations and team management. Reinforce team expectations, culture, and standards established by the Head Coach. Student-Athlete Development Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes. Encourage academic success, leadership, sportsmanship, and character development. Support the spiritual growth and personal development of athletes. Promote a positive team environment built on respect and accountability. Program Building Assist in establishing the culture and traditions of the new baseball program. Support recruiting efforts within the FCCS student body. Help organize camps, clinics, and offseason development opportunities. Assist with community outreach and program promotion. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain effective communication with players, parents, and coaching staff. Assist with equipment inventory and field setup. Help supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and team events. Support athletic department initiatives and program events. Safety & Supervision Ensure student-athlete safety at all times. Enforce school, athletic department, and team policies. Follow all emergency procedures and safety guidelines. Assist with maintaining a positive and safe practice environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous baseball coaching or playing experience. Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals and player development. Experience working with middle school or high school athletes preferred. Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching staff. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. CPR and First Aid Certification preferred. Commitment to Christian education and the mission of FCCS.
