Family Christian Center School (FCCS), Clermont, Florida Build Something Special From the Ground Up Family Christian Center School (FCCS) is seeking an energetic, visionary, and faith-driven Head Varsity Baseball Coach to launch and lead our brand-new baseball program. This is a unique opportunity for a coach who desires more than simply coaching a team. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about building a program from the ground up, establishing a winning culture, developing student-athletes, and creating a long-term vision for FCCS Baseball. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape every aspect of the program, including player development, team culture, community engagement, fundraising support, and future program growth. This is a stipend position. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and demonstrated ability to build and lead a successful program. Position Summary The Head Varsity Baseball Coach is responsible for the overall leadership, organization, and development of the FCCS Baseball Program. The coach will work closely with the Athletic Director to establish a strong foundation for a program that reflects the mission of FCCS Athletics while preparing student-athletes to compete at a high level both on and off the field. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Program Development & Leadership Build and launch the inaugural FCCS Varsity Baseball Program. Develop a clear vision and strategic plan for program growth. Establish team standards, expectations, and culture. Create a Christ-centered environment that promotes character, integrity, accountability, and leadership. Assist with recruiting student-athletes within the FCCS student body. Help develop future middle school and junior varsity pathways as the program grows. Coaching Responsibilities Plan and conduct practices, workouts, conditioning sessions, and skill development opportunities. Teach baseball fundamentals, team concepts, and advanced game strategies. Develop offensive, defensive, pitching, and baserunning systems. Prepare athletes for competition through organized training and game preparation. Manage all aspects of game-day coaching and team operations. Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback. Student-Athlete Development Mentor student-athletes academically, spiritually, and athletically. Foster leadership development and positive team relationships. Promote sportsmanship and respect for teammates, opponents, officials, and the game. Program Growth & Community Engagement Assist with program promotion and visibility within the community. Support fundraising and sponsorship initiatives as needed. Build relationships with local youth baseball organizations and community partners. Help create offseason development opportunities, camps, and clinics. Administrative Responsibilities Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, administration, and the Athletic Director. Maintain team rosters, attendance records, and eligibility requirements. Assist with scheduling, equipment management, uniforms, and transportation coordination. Attend coaches' meetings and athletic department events. Ensure compliance with all athletic department policies and league regulations. Preferred Qualifications Previous baseball coaching experience at the youth, high school, collegiate, or travel-ball level. Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategy, and player development. Experience building or growing an athletic program preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire student-athletes. CPR and First Aid Certification preferred. Commitment to Christian education and the mission of FCCS.
