Job Description

Job Description The Opportunity Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) seeks a dynamic, student-centered, and forward-thinking Assistant Coach (Women's Lacrosse) to provide visionary leadership. The assistant women's lacrosse coach supports the head coach and is responsible for a variety of coaching, teaching, and recruiting tasks, along with practice and game-day related functions as assigned by the head coach.
Primary Job Functions, Duties, or Accountabilities:
Provide instruction to women's lacrosse student-athletes on the fundamentals and strategies of women's lacrosse. Assist in recruiting and retaining highly skilled student-athletes for the women's lacrosse team. Actively support and promote the NCAA's Life in the Balance strategic platform, embracing the six ideals of learning, balance, resourcefulness, sportsmanship, passion, and service. Assist in monitoring the academic progress of all women's lacrosse team members. Maintain and manage team equipment. Assist in securing donations and sponsorships to support the women's lacrosse program . Assist with arranging for lodging and meals for team trips. Assume duties of the head coach in their absence. Knowledge, understanding, and ability to instruct sport-specific skills, techniques, and strategies. Ability to lead, motivate, develop, recruit, and coach student-athletes at the collegiate level. Understanding of the NCAA bylaws, rules, and regulations. Generous Time Off:
Enjoy up to 18 days of paid leave in your first year, including 3 days granted upon hire and 15 days accrued throughout the year. You'll also receive 9+ paid holidays, including the day after Thanksgiving and the week between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.
Tuition Coverage:
Get 100% tuition coverage for yourself for one undergraduate and one graduate degree, and discounted rates for your spouse and dependent children up to age 26.
Retirement Contributions:
ERAU contributes 6% of your base salary to your retirement plan and offers a 4% matching contribution - with no vesting period.
Personal Leave:
Relax with 15 days of personal leave for non-exempt employees or 18 days for exempt full-time employees in your first year. Compensation The (annual salary/hourly) range for this role is up to ________. The final offer will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.
