Job Description
The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an Assistant Coach to provide direct and independent coaching of student-athletes who compete in Division I, NCAA Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving for the University of Florida. Is responsible for promoting academic excellence as well as the assessment and recruitment of prospective student-athletes which includes creating individualized development plans for each student-athlete and contributing to overall meet plans. Other responsibilities include media relations, inventory and purchasing, facilitating team meetings, budget line-item management and other administrative duties as assigned. This position requires the incumbent to be an organized individual with strong administrative, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds and with high energy, intense personalities; and work a non-standard work week which will include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and extensive overnight travel.
