Job Description
Head Coach - Women's Softball Posted on 5/19/2026 Accepting applications About this position The head coach of softball provides direction and administrative oversight for the programs related to successful athletic performance, recruitment and retention of quality student athletes, providing the necessary leadership for a positive competitive environment for student athletes. Responsibilities include organization and supervision of all day-to-day operations of the softball program including but not limited to coaching; recruitment of highly skilled, academically successful and socially responsible student-athletes; scheduling, organizing and conducting practices and contests; budgeting for equipment and travel: team fund raising; and compliance with College, Sunshine State Conference as well as NCAA rules and regulations. The role is a 10-month position paid over 12 months. About our ideal candidate
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree from accredited institution preferred. Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 3 years of successful, collegiate coaching experience required. Extensive player experience at the collegiate level may be substituted for some coaching experience. Any coaching experience in a NCAA Division II level program is preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Management and organizational skills are required. Demonstrated ability to recruit academically successful student-athletes. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations governing recruitment, eligibility and related functions is required. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required. Valid Florida driver's license. Employees can choose to participate through pre-tax payroll deductions when ready!
