Job Summary Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Summer Camp Coach specializing in Gymnastics and Activities! In this energetic role, you will inspire and motivate children through engaging sports, physical activities, and skill-building sessions. Your enthusiasm and expertise will create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where kids can develop their athletic abilities, learn new skills, and build confidence. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in coaching, childcare, and activity leadership. Duties Lead dynamic gymnastics sessions and a variety of sports activities such as basketball, cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (including karate and judo), swimming, and other physical education programs. Design age-appropriate activity plans that promote physical development, teamwork, and fun. Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring activities closely and enforcing behavior management strategies. Foster a positive environment that encourages participation, sportsmanship, and personal growth among campers. Assist with setting up activity spaces, maintaining equipment, and ensuring cleanliness of the camp area. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and fellow staff to support campers' needs and progress. Support the overall camp experience by participating in team meetings and contributing to a lively camp atmosphere. Qualifications Prior experience in gymnastics coaching, sports coaching, or teaching physical education is highly desirable. Experience working with children or in childcare settings is essential. Strong skills in behavior management to foster respectful and inclusive group dynamics. Ability to demonstrate leadership in active environments like gyms or health clubs.
