1.00 Special Notes Applicants are required to have a completed online application with the required uploaded documents. Must be 21 years of age. High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement). 1 Reference Letter (this does not apply to current CCPS staff). Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required.
NOTE:
Coaches who hold current teaching certification do not need to obtain athletic coaching certification. Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED). More information about Athletic Coaching Certification can be found at: https://www.collierschools.com/Page/1112. The Florida Department of Education issues two types of
Athletic Coaching Certificates:
1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.) 2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate
WHO NEEDS IT?
Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate. Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator's Certification.
