This pivotal role involves developing athletes' skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment that encourages growth both on and off the court. The ideal candidate will bring a dynamic coaching style, a strong background in sports coaching, and experience working with students of all ages. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive training sessions that improve individual skills and team strategies for basketball players of various ages and skill levels Lead team practices, games, and tournaments while motivating athletes to perform at their best Develop game plans, analyze opponent strategies, and make real-time decisions during competitions Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, and personal development Collaborate with school staff, parents, and community partners to support athlete success and well-being Manage behavior on and off the court through effective behavior management techniques Promote health and safety protocols during practices and games, ensuring all participants are properly supervised Qualifications Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly basketball coaching at school or community levels Strong background in teaching physical education or related sports disciplines such as cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (Judo, Karate), swimming, or gymnastics Experience working with children or students in childcare or educational settings Knowledge of behavior management strategies to foster a respectful and disciplined environment Familiarity with health club or gym environments is a plus Additional skills in Lifeguard experience, swimming instruction, martial arts training (Judo/Karate), cheerleading, or climbing are advantageous Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes Join us as we cultivate athletic talent while emphasizing character development!
