Job Description:
Schedule:
The coach will be teaching course 4 hours weekly on
Monday/Wednesday/Friday/Saturday Primary Location:
25 South Terry Avenue, Orlando, FL 32805
Secondary Location:
Designs exercise prescriptions tailored to individual needs. Performs and interprets physiological assessments. Records pertinent information in notes and other forms. Provides appropriate documentation to ensure program quality and meet hospital and department standards. Coordinates sports performance programming, including referral proceedings, scheduling, program planning, and exercise supervision. Utilizes communication skills appropriate to the population served. Maintains client safety by explaining and demonstrating correct exercise techniques and equipment use. Closely supervises all activities and discontinues patient's exercise if condition warrants. Educates and leads fitness participants and community members in wellness-related topics and group exercise classes. Practices principles of employee and patient safety during daily job activities via observation. Actively promotes and implements marketing plans specific to the program. Works variable shifts, including rotating days, nights, and weekends. Stays current with trends in fitness, fitness programming, and personal training through workshops, professional journals, and networking. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience and knowledge in the fitness and sports performance industry. [Required]
  • Excellent communication abilities (verbal and written), with the ability to articulate conceptual information with clarity to customers and all levels of staff. [Required]
  • Exceptional customer service skills. [Required]
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
  • Group Exercise Experience [Preferred]
  • Personal Training Experience [Preferred]
  • Knowledge in sports performance coaching [Preferred]
Education:
  • Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
  • in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field
Work Experience:
  • Experience in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related field [Preferred]
Additional Information:
    N/A Licenses and Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support
    • CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
    • NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) [Preferred]
    • Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) [Preferred]
