Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Volleyball Coach to inspire and develop athletes of all skill levels. In this role, you will lead training sessions, organize competitive matches, and foster a positive team environment that emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Your passion for sports coaching and commitment to nurturing young athletes will help elevate our volleyball program and promote healthy, active lifestyles among participants. Duties Plan and execute engaging volleyball practices that improve technical skills, teamwork, and game strategies Lead team drills, scrimmages, and conditioning exercises tailored to different age groups and skill levels Organize and oversee competitive matches, tournaments, and friendly competitions to challenge athletes and build team spirit Provide constructive feedback to players on performance, technique, and sportsmanship to encourage continuous improvement Foster a safe environment by enforcing rules, promoting proper techniques, and managing behavior during practices and games Collaborate with other coaches, staff, and parents to support athlete development and coordinate schedules Maintain equipment inventory, ensure facilities are safe and well-maintained, and adhere to safety protocols at all times Skills Proven experience in sports coaching with a focus on volleyball or similar team sports Strong background in teaching physical education or athletic training techniques Experience working with children or students in a coaching or childcare setting Knowledge of behavior management strategies to motivate athletes and maintain discipline Ability to demonstrate leadership while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship among diverse groups of participants Excellent communication skills for instructing players, engaging with parents, and collaborating with colleagues Qualifications Previous volleyball playing and/or coaching experience preferred Knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and game strategies Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel for tournaments CPR/First Aid certification preferred Level 2 Background check required Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods during practices and tournaments Ability to demonstrate volleyball skills and drills Ability to lift and move volleyball equipment as needed Work Environment Indoor and outdoor facilities Weekend tournaments and occasional travel Fast-paced, team-oriented sports environment Compensation Compensation based on experience, certifications, and club structure Equal Opportunity Statement The volleyball club is committed to creating an inclusive and positive environment for all athletes, families, and staff.
