1 Saint Petersburg, FL Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications School experience Mid-level Organizational skills Leadership Communication skills Full Job Description St. Petersburg Catholic High School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced Head Swimming Coach to lead our student-athletes and continue building a competitive and faith-centered swimming program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing young people both in and out of the pool, fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Responsibilities Lead and oversee all aspects of the high school swimming program. Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices, meet preparation, and competition strategies. Teach and develop fundamental and advanced swimming techniques, race strategies, and conditioning. Foster a positive, disciplined, and Christ-centered team culture. Mentor student-athletes in their athletic, academic, personal, and spiritual development. Coordinate team schedules, meet entries, travel arrangements, and program logistics. Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, administration, and athletic department staff. Ensure compliance with all school, diocesan, Florida High School Athletic Association, and league rules and regulations. Promote the swimming program within the school and local community. Assist with program growth, including offseason development and middle school outreach. Qualifications Previous coaching experience in competitive swimming at the high school, club, or collegiate level preferred. Strong knowledge of swimming technique, training methods, and race strategy. Demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate student-athletes. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education. Ability to successfully complete all diocesan and school employment requirements, including background screening and Safe Environment training.
