POSITION OVERVIEW
Admiral Farragut Academy seeks a Head Coach for our Upper School Swim Program. The Head Swim Coach is responsible for leading and developing a competitive swim program that promotes athletic excellence, sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth. The coach will plan and conduct practices, oversee meet preparation and competition, develop student-athletes' swimming skills, and foster a positive team culture. Responsibilities include supervising assistant coaches, communicating with students and families, ensuring compliance with school and athletic association policies, and supporting the overall mission and values of the school. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic leader who is committed to mentoring student-athletes both in and out of the pool. Previous swim coaching and/or competitive swimming experience preferred Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to motivate and develop student-athletes of varying skill levels Current CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications preferred Ability to pass all required background screening and employment requirements Availability for after-school practices, meets, and occasional weekend competitions
