We are located inside LA Fitness in Seminole, FL. With a commitment to excellence, Hudson Valley Swim provides high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels. We are seeking an experienced, committed and enthusiastic Senior Swim Instructor to join our team and contribute to the success of our Seminole location. We have part-time shifts including weekends. Weekdays are typically 3:00/4:00pm-8:00pm and weekends typically 9:00am-3:00pm.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct swim lessons for individuals or groups of all ages and skill levels
• Teach proper swimming techniques and water safety skills
• Execute our existing lesson plans to meet the needs of each swimmer
• Provide a FUN, safe and positive learning environment for all participants
• Monitor and assess swimmers' progress and provide feedback for improvement
• Take attendance for each class in the app we provide and indicate the skills that are currently being worked on as well as those mastered.
• Communicate to parents when a student is ready to advance a level
• Communicate to management when students are misplaced and advise on a suitable class
• Ensure the pool area is clean, organized, and safe for use
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain a safe swimming environment

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years experience in swim instruction including infants and adults
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in swimming techniques and water safety
• Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate skills to swimmers of all ages
• Experience in behavior management and creating a positive learning environment
