Job Description
Enthusiastic and accountable youth soccer coach looking to teach the game to players ages 8 to 18. USSF D license or better a benefit but not required. Coach must be able to teach system of play, tactics and positional responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct oneself in a professional manner as a representative of the VSC. Lead and/or assist trainings typically occur within the time frame of 5-9 pm on weeknights. Attend and manage all league and tournament games. Advise, educate and provide development opportunities. Stay current on developments in youth soccer through reading and participation in continuing professional education. Develop personalized technical and soccer intelligence improvement plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
On-field experience - playing and/or coaching. Coaching license - preferred, but not required if candidate shows proficiency in the additional areas below. A passion for coaching and developing grassroots level players. Strong communications skills and ability to educate. Have own transportation. Willingness to attend coaching education and have a growth mindset. An ability to think and plan strategically, as well as the ability to adjust on the fly and be autonomous in training sessions. A team player, with an ability to operate as part of an integrated multi-functional management team. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position requires the following background clearances:
