In this energetic role, you will lead young players through engaging practices and exciting games, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help children build confidence, stay active, and develop a lifelong love for baseball and other physical activities. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact while honing your coaching, teaching, and leadership skills in a vibrant environment. Duties Plan and execute engaging baseball practices that focus on fundamental skills such as hitting, throwing, catching, and base running. Lead team warm-ups, drills, and game strategies to ensure safe and enjoyable participation for all children. Foster a positive team environment by promoting good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respectful behavior among players. Monitor and manage child behavior during practices and games to ensure safety and maintain a fun atmosphere. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding team updates, schedules, and player progress. Incorporate other physical activities such as basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or martial arts to diversify training sessions when appropriate. Ensure all activities adhere to safety guidelines; utilize your experience in health clubs or gyms to promote proper techniques. Support the development of children's social skills through mentorship and encouragement during sporting events. Assist in organizing equipment setup, maintaining cleanliness of the training area, and ensuring all gear is in good condition. Promote health awareness by integrating basic physical education principles into coaching sessions. Experience College/professional playing or coaching preferred. Background in sports coaching with knowledge of baseball fundamentals and game rules. Strong communication skills paired with patience and enthusiasm are essential for motivating young players and collaborating with parents and staff alike.
