UPPER SCHOOL
GIRLSVARSITY BASKETBALL -- ASSISTANT COACH
Pace Academy is an independent college preparatory school in Atlanta, GA, with an enrollment of 1,150 students in Pre-First through 12th grade. A mid-October to mid-March seasonal appointment. On/off-campus responsibilities from 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm Monday through Friday. Coaching responsibilities may result in extended weekday or weekend commitments. All coaches are employed on an annual basis and continued employment is based on annual performance reviews conducted by the Head Girls Basketball Coach & Director of Athletics.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with the Head Girls Basketball Coach, the assistant varsity coach is responsible for supporting and initiating various aspects of the girls' basketball program, such as program development, training, and coaching team members. The coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Pace Academy. Pace Academy is a member of the GHSA (www.ghsa.net).REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor s degree required; Possess and maintain a coaching philosophy that is in accordance with the mission of PaceAcademy. A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept; Coaching experience; Effective leadership, coaching and recruiting skills; Excellent communication skills with players, parents, and the athletic department;SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Encourage, train, and coach the participants of the girls' basketball program (Grades 9-12); Represent Pace Academy and the girls' basketball program in a professional manner and within the bounds of good sportsmanship; Additional duties as assigned by the Head Girls Basketball Coach.Department:
