Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in swimming, with the ability to educate students of all ages and skill levels. Ability to work with neurodivergent individuals such as autistic . As a Swim Instructor, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and enjoyable learning environment while helping students develop their swimming skills and confidence in the water. Responsibilities Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups, ensuring that each session is engaging and educational. Assess students' swimming abilities and tailor lessons to meet their specific needs. Educate students on water safety, swimming techniques, and proper stroke mechanics. Maintain a safe environment by enforcing pool rules and regulations. Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage improvement and build confidence. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a positive learning atmosphere. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Experience Previous experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting is preferred. Strong swimming skills with experience as a lifeguard or swim instructor is highly desirable. Background in sports such as Judo, Basketball, Cheerleading, or climbing can be beneficial. Ability to communicate effectively with students of all ages and backgrounds. A passion for fitness and promoting an active lifestyle through swimming activities.
