About Fin's:

Fin's Swim School is a small, owner-operated mobile swim school based in metro Atlanta. We come to families' pools backyards, HOAs, apartment complexes and teach private one-on-one and small-group lessons. Our promise to families is "Pure Independence in the water" where every kid we work with learns to be safe in the water on their own. We follow a structured 5-level progression and don't teach with floaties. We're growing for the 2026 summer season and looking for additional instructors who care about real teaching.

The Role:

Travel to families' pools across metro Atlanta (Roswell, Alpharetta, East Cobb, Suwanee, Brookhaven, West Cobb, and surrounding areas) and teach private or small-group swim lessons. Most lessons are 30 or 45 minutes, scheduled weekly with the same families. You'll work with kids from age 3 through teens, plus occasional adult learners. What you'll do: Teach private and small-group lessons following Fin's 5-level curriculum Log lesson notes in our scheduling app (Jobber) after each lesson Communicate with families via Jobber and report to the owner Track student progress toward skill milestones Maintain safety equipment (rescue tube, first-aid kit, resuscitation mask)

• September 1, 2026 You set your weekly availability — we schedule families around it Most instructors work 12-25 lessons per week Peak hours: weekday afternoons (4-8 PM) + weekend mornings Flexible around school, second jobs, vacations Requirements 17+ (rising college freshmen and college students welcome) Strong swim background: high school swim team, club team, lifeguarding experience, or equivalent Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or willing to certify before start date) Lifeguard or Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification preferred Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Auto insurance Pass a Checkr background check (Fin's covers the cost) Comfortable working with kids of all ages and skill levels Nice-to-haves Prior swim instruction experience (private, group, or summer camps) Experience with special-needs swimmers Competitive swim background (high school, club, or college) Bilingual (Spanish a plus) What We Offer Premium per-lesson pay — well above lifeguarding rates and most facility swim instructor pay Flexible schedule you control Real teaching, not group herding — small ratios, focused work Same families week over week — you build relationships, not just clock hours Training and mentorship from the owner Path to lead instructor role for high performers in 2027 How to
