The university's students select majors from five colleges: Business Administration Education Engineering and Computing Media, Arts, and Communication Science and Humanities The campus is by far the most picturesque in the state of Georgia. Job Summary The Assistant Coach will provide support to the Head Women's Basketball Coach in all aspects of coaching, player development, academic success, recruiting, film study, meetings, scouting opponents. This is a part-time regular position and the standard weekly working hours is 25.

Responsibilities Administer the basketball program in accordance with Savannah State University, University System of Georgia (USG), National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), Southern Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (SIAC) requirements Plan and supervise all team and fundamental basketball camp programs Assist in the planning and organizing of team travel Assist with player development and game/scouting strategy Assist in coordinating with academic services to promote and monitor the academic development, progress and graduation of student-athletes Recruit potential student athletes for the Women's Basketball Program in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations Supervise and assist athletes on the Women's Basketball team during athletic related activities Assist with tracking records such as, but not limited to, recruitment files, eligibility records, emergency data cards, and any records the support eligibility, academic progress, matriculation, and transfer to ensure that such records are compliant May be required to perform job related duties other than those specifically delineated in this position Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Basketball playing or coaching experience at the secondary, post-secondary, or collegiate coaching experience Proposed Salary The annual salary is $15,600.00.
