Immediately Job Description East Union Community School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant High School Girls Basketball Coach. Applicants should possess a strong desire to help build a cohesive, competitive program and positive team culture. The assistant coach will work closely with the Head Coach in all aspects of developing the East Union Girls Basketball program.

Responsibilities Include:

Assist in planning and implementing effective practices and game strategies Support in-season player development and skill progression Help design and promote off-season workout and development programs Contribute to a structured approach to practice planning, skill development, and team accountability Assist with strength and conditioning/weight room programming Promote and model sportsmanship, teamwork, and accountability Build connections between players and the community through volunteer opportunities Support and engage with youth development programs, including REC leagues Collaborate with the Athletic Director to ensure compliance with all school and state regulations

Qualifications:

Coaching endorsement or authorization from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners required Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, skill development, and team concepts Ability to positively motivate and mentor student-athletes Strong organizational and communication skills
