POSITION OVERVIEW
The Manager / Head Coach serves as the face of the studio and plays a key role in member experience, staff accountability, class operations, and overall gym culture. This is a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable both managing day-to-day studio operations and coaching group fitness classes when needed. Success in this role requires someone who enjoys building relationships, motivating others, solving problems, and creating an environment where members feel supported and challenged to succeed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver an exceptional member experience Build strong relationships with members and staff Provide accountability coaching and support to members Manage daily studio operations Manage staff schedules and instructor coverage Hold staff accountable to established expectations and procedures Execute established systems, reporting requirements, and operational processes Support challenge launches, events, and community initiatives Ensure classes begin on time and operate smoothly Coach classes when instructor coverage is needed Communicate regularly with ownership regarding studio performance, staffing needs, and operational issues
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1 year of boutique fitness management, studio management, or leadership experience Previous experience coaching instructor-led group fitness classes Experience working in a member-based boutique fitness environment Strong communication and relationship-building skills Comfortable holding team members accountable Organized, dependable, and self-motivated Ability to work mornings, evenings, and occasional Saturdays Lives within approximately 30 minutes of the studio Able to provide emergency instructor coverage when needed
