Drake University's Varsity Women's Rowing program competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference at the Division 1 Level. Job Summary:
Drake University is seeking a Head Women's Rowing Coach to join its athletics department. The successful candidate will support a positive academic, athletic, and social environment for student-athletes while creating a culture of excellence and ethics. Prior college coaching experience is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Knowledge and basic proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel Proven experience leading a successful rowing program
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience playing at the collegiate level preferred. Knowledge of applicable NCAA Rules and regulations. Master's degree preferred. Coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level preferred.

- Design and implement effective training programs, training, and competition plans that maximize player development and team performance.

- Support a positive academic, athletic, and social environment for student-athletes within the women's rowing program creating a culture of excellence and ethics.

- Recruit and retain student-athletes able to thrive at Drake on and off the water

- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches and other staff as assigned. Direct and coordinate the activities of the assistant rowing staff in the planning, organizing, and coaching of the Women's Rowing program.

- Actively engage with alumni and the community to enhance program support and visibility.

- Manage the Rowing program operational budget, including travel and equipment.
