This is a full-time (at-will and FLSA-exempt) position which includes full University benefits. The University of Iowa is an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Big Ten Conference. The Department of Athletics manages 22 varsity sports programs and related events with a workforce of approximately 250 regular employees and 300 temporary employees. Responsibilities:
The Assistant Men's Wrestling Coach is responsible for providing administrative, instructional and coaching assistance to the Head Men's Wrestling Coach with the purpose of building a successful, competitive intercollegiate sports program that also retains and graduates student-athletes.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree (or international equivalent); A minimum of two (2) years of wrestling coaching experience at the intercollegiate, club, or high school level or a combination of coaching, recruiting, administrative, collegiate or international wrestling experience. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and a commitment to adhere to all rules and regulations of the University of Iowa, the Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA; Proven leadership ability; Excellent oral and written communication skills as demonstrated through public speaking engagements, clinician experience, and/or use of effective and creative training/coaching techniques; Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships; Working knowledge of and ability to: Utilize basic office support software (word processing, email, presentation software and spreadsheets) Operate effectively within a highly regulated team environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
1-3 years' experience working closely with a collegiate Division I wrestling program; Demonstrated success in student-athlete recruitment; Experience in video analysis or the development and management of social media sites. A valid U.S. driving license and the ability to meet and maintain University of Iowa Driving Policy standards. Genuine passion for and experience with supporting the holistic development of student-athletes, recognizing the interconnectedness of mental health and overall well-being.
