Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant team as a Swim Team Coach and inspire athletes of all ages to reach their full potential in the water! This dynamic role combines coaching expertise, enthusiasm for sports, and a passion for teaching physical activity. As a key member of our aquatic program, you will develop training plans, motivate swimmers, and foster a positive environment that encourages growth, teamwork, and confidence. Your energy and dedication will help create memorable experiences for every swimmer while promoting safety and skill development. Responsibilities Design and implement engaging swim training sessions tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced competitors Provide clear instruction on swimming techniques, safety protocols, and competitive strategies Monitor swimmers' progress through regular assessments and adjust coaching methods accordingly Ensure all participants follow safety guidelines, including lifeguard standards and emergency procedures Foster a supportive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal achievement Coordinate with parents, staff, and other coaches to communicate progress and address concerns Lead warm-ups, cool-downs, and water drills that promote proper technique and injury prevention Experience Proven experience in coaching swim teams or teaching swimming at various skill levels Lifeguard certification or experience working as a lifeguard is highly desirable Background in sports coaching, physical education, or related fields such as martial arts (Karate, Judo), cheerleading, or climbing enhances your coaching versatility Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively with children and adolescents in a group setting Knowledge of swimming techniques combined with experience in sports like basketball or gymnastics is a plus Previous work in health clubs or gyms involving physical training or childcare is advantageous Strong communication skills with a passion for working with students of diverse backgrounds Join us to make waves in the lives of young athletes!
