Athletic Director Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Head Varsity Volleyball Coach to lead and develop our student-athletes both on and off the court. The coach will be responsible for teaching the fundamentals of volleyball, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment that supports academic and athletic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead all volleyball practices and games during the season. Teach and demonstrate proper volleyball techniques, strategies, and safety procedures. Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices and games. Foster a culture of respect, discipline, and positive sportsmanship. Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and administrators. Organize equipment and ensure its proper use and maintenance. Coordinate transportation and logistics for away games (if applicable). Uphold school and district policies, including academic eligibility and conduct standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. Prior coaching experience in volleyball, preferably at the high school level. Knowledge of volleyball rules, strategies, and conditioning techniques. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. CPR, First Aid, and concussion protocol certification (or willingness to obtain). Must pass a background check and meet all district/school clearance requirements.
Working Conditions:
Practices typically held after school hours. Weekend or evening games may be required. Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical demonstrations.
