At Brabeion Academy, Idaho's first public school of sport, we move away from the traditional "classroom teacher" mold to find industry professionals who excel in the studio, on the track, and on the sidelines. Athletic development is not an "extra" at Brabeion—it is the core of our culture. 1.
Responsibilities Program Leadership:
Direct and manage both our Cheer and Dance programs, overseeing game-day performances, competitions, and school spirit events.
Program Coordination:
Work alongside Academy leadership to manage uniform and equipment needs, event scheduling, and recommendations for future program growth. Athletic Performance Instruction (Optional): Qualified candidates may also support intensive technical training, conditioning, and choreography sessions for secondary students. 2. Position Classification & Compensation At Brabeion, we value specialized expertise. This posting covers two compensation components. The head coaching stipends are the primary offer; performance instruction hours are available but not required. Head Coaching Stipends $5,000 per program (Cheer and Dance), for a potential total of $10,000 annually . Candidates applying to lead only one program are fully encouraged to apply; the stipend adjusts to $5,000 accordingly. Performance Instruction (Optional) Qualified candidates may also take on up to 19 hours per week of athletic performance instruction at $20.00 per hour during the school term. This component is supplemental. Candidates interested in the head coaching role(s) only will be given full consideration.
Employment Status:
This is a part-time, classified assistant position. It is non-benefited and does not qualify for enrollment in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI) or school-sponsored health insurance. 3. About You We are looking for a results-driven individual who knows how to maximize the potential of student-athletes.
Discipline Expertise:
A strong, demonstrated background in either cheerleading and/or dance instruction/coaching. You must understand the technical elements, safety standards, and performance dynamics for one of both of the disciplines.
Education & Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree or professional certifications in dance, kinesiology, or athletic coaching are a plus, but teacher certification is not required . This is a classified, non-instructional faculty role.
Competitive Spirit:
You are a values-aligned coach ready to inspire students to achieve their personal best and display elite athleticism. Candidates with an elite background in coaching and choreographing for female secondary athletes are strongly encouraged to apply.
