Our fitness classes service children ages 5-14, but we have something for the whole family. As a start-up company, there is endless potential for growth and to have a huge impact on our direction and programs.
Job Summary:
Fit City Kids is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and passionate Full-Time Youth Fitness Coach & Personal Trainer to join our team. As one of the only fitness centers specifically designed for kids and their families, we are looking for individuals who want to help the next generation discover a lifelong love for sports and wellness. The Role This is a dynamic position that evolves as you grow. You will start by supporting our core operations—including camps, classes, and front desk management—while actively building your own personal training clientele.
Key Responsibilities Lead Fitness Classes:
Coach specialized youth programs such as Hero, S.W.E.A.T, Gamer's Fitness, Speed and Agility, and Strength in Girls.
Camp Instruction:
Support and lead fitness/sports sessions for our Summer Camps and School Day Out camps, ensuring a fun, safe, and supportive environment.
Front Desk & Operations:
Assist with facility check-ins, inquiries, and daily operations while you establish your training schedule.
Personal Training:
Develop and implement one-on-one, partner, or small group training programs tailored to kids and their families.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Education, Certified Trainer or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with young children
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
  • Ideally 2+ years of experience Have a genuine interest in working with children ages 5 and up, with the ability to be silly, supportive, and hold them accountable.
Must be available between 3:30-7:30PM for fitness classes and 8AM-3:30PM for camp days.
Responsibilities:
  • engaging with parents and children before and after classes
  • keeping a high energy and positive atmosphere at all times
  • motivating kids to engage and participate in classes . Leading by example in a positive and emotionally intelligent way.
  • coaching flagship classes with provided plan and equipment
  • Developing programming, summer camps, workshops, etc. with the team
  • Must be in good physical condition and able to bend, kneel, stoop, jump, jog, and otherwise move actively to execute a class. Must be able to occasionally carry large amounts of equipment.
  • attending coaches' meetings
  • participating in our offsite events/booths
  • maintaining and keeping track of equipment
  • be an active and positive part of our culture .
continuing learning and upholding of current certifications
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
