Overview Join our vibrant team as a Swim Instructor and inspire confidence, skill, and a love for water in learners of all ages! In this energetic role, you'll lead engaging swimming lessons, promote water safety, and foster a positive environment where students can thrive. Whether working with children or adults, your enthusiasm and expertise will make a lasting impact. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for teaching, sports, and physical activity while helping others achieve their aquatic goals. Responsibilities Lead dynamic swimming lessons tailored to students' skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing water safety rules and monitoring activities closely Develop customized lesson plans that incorporate teaching techniques from sports coaching, martial arts, and physical education Manage behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment for students of diverse ages and backgrounds Conduct water safety drills, rescue procedures, and emergency response protocols as needed Collaborate with other instructors and staff to organize group activities such as swim teams or aquatic fitness classes Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and safety incidents Skills Proven Lifeguard experience with current certification is highly preferred Strong background in sports coaching, including basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or martial arts such as Karate or Judo Experience in teaching physical education or working with children in childcare or educational settings Knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety best practices Ability to manage behavior effectively and foster a respectful, motivating atmosphere Familiarity with health club or gym environments is a plus Excellent communication skills to connect with students of all ages and skill levels Embark on a rewarding journey where your energy and expertise help others unlock their potential in the water.
