Teaching positions in MS/HS Science and Elementary are also available.

Qualifications:

A strong commitment to athlete development, including the ability to communicate strengths and weaknesses to athletes and continuous improvement plans for skill enhancement A commitment to being a positive role model for all students, who develops an atmosphere of teamwork and sportsmanship in the program A commitment to the overall development of the student, with a strong focus on the academic progress of all student-athletes The ability to set and maintain high expectations for the program The ability to analyze basketball games and create match-specific plans The ability to work effectively with students and parents, where the development of strong, supportive relationships is a top priority The ability to prepare a seasonal budget as well as create an inventory of all equipment; this includes taking necessary steps to maintain the equipment and keep it in good repair

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous successful coaching experience at the varsity level or higher Previous successful coaching experience at the high school/collegiate level Possess a valid teaching license and certifications in first aid,

CPR, and AED Job Duties:

Responsible for managing all aspects of the Basketball program at all levels, including the management of assistant coaches, players, and equipment; also includes planning and working collaboratively with youth teams and middle school programs. Responsible for managing the expectations of players, parents, and coaches by effectively communicating all expectations and requirements to all stakeholders; this includes a mandatory pre-season parent meeting and ongoing one-on-one discussions with athletes Develop a program that exemplifies the athletic department's philosophy and mission statement Maintain membership in the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) Attend clinics, seminars, and in-service programs in order to improve coaching skills and to stay current with new trends in coaching, training, conditioning, and safety procedures. Work with the athletic director to maintain an appropriate schedule of games for all levels of the program. Maintains appropriate supervision of the program at all times (locker rooms, practices, events, bus rides, etc.). Strictly adhere to the school's policies and procedures
